I've said it before and I'll say it again...
I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.
~ Anne of Green Gables
When the leaves fall...
and the family gathers.
We were missing Emme who is still 'adventuring' in Europe...
but will be home soon.
I was up early on Thanksgiving Day
...and saw the sunrise over Mt. Cheam.
Their were eighteen gathered around the table this year...
...and I'm left with a fuzzy photo and good memories of our time together.
Leo from Mexico joined us for a Canadian Thanksgiving celebration.
There is much to be thankful for.
Every day!
Every day!
October...
when every leaf is a flower!
We spent a Sunday afternoon on the shores of Silver Lake...
with a book and a blanket.
So peaceful!
The cranberries down the road were harvested by mid-month.
We checked out the new trail up Vedder Mountain last Sunday...
and rewarded ourselves with DQ treats.
The last of the season!
The final crop of grass for the year came off the fields...
...and the last blooms of the season were brought in to enjoy.
These were a gift from my DIL Lina's garden.
She dropped them off before leaving for Australia for two weeks...
...where Dylan was competing in the World Scooter Championships in Sydney.
It was an experience of a lifetime for the two of them...
and he did great!
