On Sunday afternoon...we had a little sunshine. We thought we should take advantage of the nice weather...and a quick hike up to the falls seemed like just the thing.
The three grands from next door were more than willing to join us...and thought it was 'just the thing' as well. Do they look like they are finding the hike a real hardship?
Emme always thinks there has to be a way across!
And there is...though it comes with wet feet on occasion!
The tourists were all busy taking pictures...and so we handed them our camera as well.
Bridal Veil Falls...always a delight. We'll be back before too long...I'm sure!
Very impressive and so pretty. It really does look like a giant bridal veil and even lacy with all that aeration. Those grands are growing fast! What a great picture of you all.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Breath-taking. Awesome. I've said it before and I'll say it again... I have just got to come to Canada to see all of the gorgeous scenery up there!
ReplyDeleteJudy - thanks so much for the trip to Bridal Falls. Ever since I left Vancouver to teach in Prince George I passed the sign each time we were driving to visit my family but we were always trying to make the ferry. The next time we drive out I'll convince the farmer to stop. What a beautiful spot and your photos are wonderful, especially that last one! I sure had a great surprise when I visited Vee's blog this morning...
ReplyDeleteWow, it really is a site to see. Love the group shot! :0)
ReplyDeleteThose Bridal Veil Falls are awesome. Have yet to see them. Love the photo of you, hubby and the grands.
ReplyDeleteJudy, that's a great picture! Bridal Falls is a great little hike with grandkids. I'll have to remember it when ours come at the end of the month. Dairymary
ReplyDeleteIt's been YEARS since last we saw these stunning falls! Thanks for the beautiful photos! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking we should go visit it soon too. The great thing about going now is there will be no mosquitos visiting the falls to greet the tourists.
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to stop there. My parents visited the falls on their honeymoon 56 years ago this week.
ReplyDeleteWe're usually driving by to some other destination, and it's not far enough along on the trip to warrant a break.
But perhaps THIS is the year we should make the time.
Bridal Falls was where Harv took me on our first Date 41 years ago so it remains a nostalgic spot for us. It's definitely time to go there again.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! What a great activity.
ReplyDeleteWe have a Bridal Veil Falls in Oregon, too, though it is a single drop and not nearly so pretty. It is in the tiny town of Bridal Veil where many engaged couples go to mail their wedding invitations, just to get the "Bridal Veil" postmark =)
What a beautiful place...I love waterfalls!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it funny how we tend to overlook the natural treasures in our own "backyards". It's good to play tourist once in a while to realize just how nice your "playground" is! And so good to share it with the grands!
ReplyDeleteWhen I look at these pictures of the "Bridal Veil Falls", I think I would be picking up the grands every Sunday and heading there. What amazing beauty you have in your part of the world. I really like the picture of all of you. I am sure that will be one you treasure for many years.
