Maggie put on a 'creative dance' exhibition this week...with her ballerina friends. It was too cute!
And both Ryder and Ranen graduated from pre-school yesterday. Thankfully I had just enough time to make it from one school to the next...to take in both ceremonies.
Ryder took the whole thing very seriously...he and his good buddy! He is very excited that he has been promoted to kindergarten...but just can't understand why he has to wait until the end of summer before he can start!
Ranen sang her heart out with her classmates...and then accepted her diploma saying she had completed all pre-school requirements. She plans to continue her studies at the same school next year.
Ryder asked me on Monday night if I was coming to watch his soccer game. Since the sun was shining...and I had not yet been to any of his games...I said, "But of course!"
What fun watching five-year-olds play soccer! They needed to be reminded about the game on hand every so often.
Last night we took in Emme & Spencer's last soccer game of the season. It looked to me like they had a lot of fun!
All good things must come to an end (so they say)...but I'm glad I could take part in the 'happy endings'.
Wishing you a terrific Thursday!
you are one busy gramma, but by the looks of it, you love every moment of it, and they love you too!
ReplyDeleteI like this kind of participation ..show up to say "well done". I just smiled at Ryders expression. .smiled at Maggie's sweet stance ..at Ranen's finished requirements. .and the soccer games. .oh what a lot of fun I have to look forward to.. .in a year or so.
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love having your grands close enough for you to participate in their lives?! What a blessing! (and it all looks fun, too)
ReplyDeleteYou're one of the finest grandmothers I've ever known. Your grands must each believe that he or she is your favorite. Sam is so annoyed by not having more school as his little brother must go all summer and he feels left out. Sam and Ryder could have some good times, especially since Ryder has an inside track on farming. Sounds as if your summer days are going to stay busy and happy.
ReplyDeleteLovely that you can be there for all the joyful events, Judy. I imagine that it means a lot to those little ones to look out into the crowd and see their grandma. Sweet, sweet photos!
ReplyDeleteAnd they say culture and the arts are hard to find in rural areas. You look like you have plenty of the hot ticket events!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you have been a busy grammy. I can't think of a better way to spend time. How fun to share in these happy times with the grands. I know they were thrilled to have you in the audience.
ReplyDeleteWow grammies are busy people. I'm glad you made to so many events. Those serious boys crack me up and the sweet ballerinas are too cute!
ReplyDeleteVee has it right, the all TOTALLY believe that they are your favorite. Maggie had been talking about you coming to her recital for weeks.
ReplyDeleteI will echo Vee in saying that you are indeed one of the finest grandmothers ever. How wonderful for them, and for you, to play such an important role in their lives.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to be able to attend all these milestone events for your grandkids. Count yourself blessed to have them all living nearby. BTW - your grands are all adorable!
ReplyDeleteYour grandchildren are adorable and it's easy to see they are adored. Such beautiful memories to treasure.
ReplyDeleteThis post brings back memories of year end joy and sadnes at the same time. I never liked change.
ReplyDeleteRyder cracks me up how he looks so studious .. and Ranen plays the part of the graduate very sophystically too. The twins are always fun to watch.. even on the blog!
Forgot about Maggie ... can't believe how she has grown. She will be a responsible big sister!
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful endings! Maggie looks so pretty in her pink ballet costume, Ryder and Ranen already look like true scholars, and Emme & Spencer look like soccer stars! I was particularly happy to see your son looking so well with the crutches at his side just as an after thought--hope he almost completely healed!
ReplyDeleteSweet grands and a sweet grandma to be a part of their special events! I know they loved having you there!
ReplyDeleteThe life of a happy Grammy with many little ones demanding her attention.
ReplyDeleteI still have the big ones needing my escort attention as they climb hills, with their little ones...but it's all so fun when things come to an end for school again....
I can hear the teachers echoing...
HURRAH!!!!!
