a milestone meeting...

We met through the world of blogging...and then in person a few years back.  Since that time we have been getting together several times a year...usually around a table.  It seems that's the best place to gather!

Pondside is in our area taking care of business...but she had a free evening.  And so we made plans to meet up around the table at Milestone's last night.

I have a few other blogging friends that knew Pondside as well...but had never actually met her in person.  That changed last night...when they joined us for coffee and dessert.

Three years ago I never knew any of these gals...and now I feel most blessed to call them my friends.

The hours flew by...and we even left a few things to talk about next time!   And there will be a next time.

  1. I wish everyone could get a chance to meet blog friends in person. The experience of getting to know a person without a physical presence is really quite lovely - when you actually meet it's almost like there's a history there. Perhaps it's a little like pen pals used to be before email and instant messaging.
    It was a fun evening!

  2. How very nice for you all. It is amazing how one can become friends without meeting, but so much better if one can actually meet face to face.

  3. How cool that you've met some blog friends in person! I have one blog friend that lives here in the area, but we haven't managed to meet yet. The rest are scattered from coast to coast...

  16. I always love meeting someone for the first time that I feel I know. The surprises are only to see how tall a girl is or what her voice sounds like. .and how much does she smile. My findings. ..are short. .soothing. .and very much!
