Greetings from Leavenworth, Washington...a beautiful Bavarian village in the Cascade Mountains.
We are on a short roadtrip...and decided this was the perfect place to spend the night. Though the town only has a population of about 2000...more than two million visitors flock here every year. I know why!
Oh my goodness! Leavenworth, WA is on my list of 101 things to do in 1001 days. I so want to go there. I read about it in a fictional book, and I've heard it's a great place to "holiday". Can't wait for your next post.
Enjoy your roadtrip! Looks as if you've already discovered a fun stop and I suspect that you'll find one after another. You know how to create a great day!
Leavenworth! Love that little town. It looks very different now than it did on my visit last fall, but it is always charming. Those goats by the road are funny!
Yodelayeeeoooo! or should I say...Riiiiiiicoooooolaaaa! LOL. Get out the lederhosen! Always nice to see that the mountain goats also use the bridge crossing! LOL. Have a great road trip!!!
If you are going to Leavenworth or just want to see what it's like, drop by our site first to see what is happening in town. We've built a site with a whimsical tone from a tourist's point of view. We have a blog of our travels and things we've found there that we like.
How quaint. I met a lady who is from Leavenworth a year ago. I told her that when I get out to the PAC-NW to visit my friend from Spokane area, that I would stop and visit her....Thank you for the pictures because I will absolutely make a point to stop and see her. Looking forward to more pictures and a great read from you. God Bless. Sandy in NC
We always enjoy Leavenworth. It used to be a yearly destination for a bike ride over the May long weekend. A perfect little get away for you to start off the summer.
Sooo cute. Is it similar to Kimberly in BC? Have a wonderful road trip!
