...I'll let you have a peek. I think she's been having turkey dinner elsewhere as well! This we do know...she is not being underfed! The cousins were all happy to see each other...
...and Baby Maelyn always gets her fair share of attention.
Ranen thought she might need a little cleaning up, and wet-wiped her from top to bottom...she won't be needing a bath anytime soon.
One moment they are learning to talk, and in the blink of an eye, they are spelling. Playing with words...what fun!
It was a little early for Christmas...a little late for Lisa's birthday...
...but the perfect time to gather the family around the table. It seems only yesterday that we celebrated the same event...in the same fashion...at the same table...but so many things have changed in one year. We talked about those things...and shed a few tears...
...and had a few laughs. That's what families are for!And one of these days I'll tell you why there's a thermos on the table...beside a sippy cup...rather near my son-in-laws place card! Not today.
It's Friday...have a wonderful weekend!
What a special time with family! Your grandchildren are all beautiful! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI can imagine that you shared a few tears. I love looking at your dining room table so festively decorated.
ReplyDeleteAnd we all know what it looks like after tree hours.
Time moves on so quickly, just look at Mealyn....We are so lucky that we get more time to enjoy them and make these festive occasions for our family.
Looks like a fun time with family..love the pics of the g'children.
ReplyDeleteJudy, no matter what you do, your efforts always say "we love you". Happy Birthday Lisa! Looks like you all had a special time. And Merry Christmas to all of You.
ReplyDeleteMartha
Not today because it's Friday? What's that got to do with it? :D I'm betting you have one fussy son-in-law. ;>
ReplyDeleteMaelyn is growing so fast. She's certainly a much cherised baby.
It's good to see a family modeled that doesn't hide things and never speak of them anymore. Your times around the table sound very precious indeed.
cherished...I can spell sometimes
ReplyDeleteFor the first time, clicking on a photo enlarged it. Lucky me! I got to see the last one and the expressions on the faces are priceless! Also loved seeing Elmer's??? pic atop the china cabinet. And that dessert looks yummy!
ReplyDeleteBeautifull pictures of the table before and after! I noticed the thermos and what you call a sippy cup, but I know what it really is. =)
ReplyDeleteJudy. . .I can imagine how wonderful it was to have your grands and children around for such a beautifully laid out table.
ReplyDeleteIt must be so amazing watching them learn so much from year to year.
I have a wee one here for her Christmas holidays. . .and sneaking a peek at blogs when she is busy doing other things. .
with one eye on the watch .. .
Thank you for sharing your family time with us .. .blessings. .
I'm laughing that someone noticed Dad's picture on the cabinet. Spencer noticed it last night too, and I overheard Jeremy explaining to her that Grandpa used to be a girl.
ReplyDeleteHA!!!!!!!!
The little cousins are all adorable! Have a merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Wanita
Lovely photo's...your table looks great and what a beautiful baby!
ReplyDeleteHello Judy
ReplyDeleteMaelyn is getting big! How fast they grow! My son and daughter-in-law are so tired with their little one being a week old and awake a lot. My son called me up so I could listen to the baby crying last evening -- it was music to my ears :-)
It looks like you all had a wonderful time at Lisa's birthday party. I see that you opened crackers after the meal -- fun!
I love the view from your dining room windows too!
Enjoy your weekend!
Hugs, Pat
i know why you have a thermos on the table and that leather cup with a straw in it.....it is part of my daily ritual...:-)
ReplyDeletewhat a mice way to celebrate family, looks like all had a good time. oh that little maelyn looks very precious, along with the rest of the kiddos.

Hi Judy...its Judi from Ontario.
ReplyDeleteOh my what beautiful grandchildren! You know we have some things in common... You have a little Maelyn and I have a little Madeline, she is 4.5 years old ...and she calls me Grammy too. *s*. Doesn't it make your heart melt when they called you?
I'm happy you were with family and had some laughs together. I'm not sure what has happened since last year, perhaps you have written about it...I will be back to spend more time reading, but I'm glad you were with family that would be comforting.
have a lovely day
Judi
What lovely photos, Judy. Ilove your dining room and the cabinets on either side of the window.
ReplyDeleteYour grandprincess has grown so quickly - I think she must be close in age to our Baby B. It looks like you had a fun time together. Like you, we also shed a few tears and laughed alot too. That's all part of the equation when a family loves each other.
Beautiful home, beautiful babies, and beautiful you, the way you love your family in all that you do! You heart does ooze out of you =]
ReplyDeleteI am so curious about the thermos and cup???
