She never gave us a chance to say good-bye...but she gave us so many good memories to treasure. Always cheerful, generous, hospitable, encouraging...she was brave despite her chronic illness and always optimistic...with a screech and laugh that were unmistakable. Anne will always be remembered!
A is for Anne....with an 'e' (she always added that...just to set us straight).
A is also for apples...and she had many...both out in the orchard and inside her home.
A is for the amazing aunt Anne was to my children.
A is for the absolute best big teeny sister my hubby could have wished for.
A is for an awesome sister-in-law...whose memory I will always cherish.
Until we meet again...
You do the best tributes! Anne with an "e" just like Anne Shirley.
ReplyDeleteJudy..that is a great tribute to Anne with an 'e'. It is sad when you don't have time to say g'bye..but she didn't have to suffer long.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a sister-in-law, but if I did, I'd hope to have one like your Anne.
ReplyDeleteThat was truly lovely.
Judy, you have given my sister Anne a wonderful tribute.
ReplyDeleteWe all had many meaningful and fun times with her.
Now at this 5 year anniversary of her passing, I stop and say Thank you God for having given me such a wonderful friend and "Big Sis".
Her cherished memories will live on.

Judy. .what a lovely tribute. Blogging provides such a wonderful opportunity to share our tributes doesn't it? I was sent an email this morning from my bridesmaid's sister. . Elsie passed away many years ago but now her sister found my blog.. .
ReplyDeleteShe sounds such a lovely person. You must all miss her very much.
ReplyDeleteLovely tribute to someone gone too soon. I have a daughter named Anne. I'm always surprised at the number of people who think Anne with an "e" is pronounced "Annie".
ReplyDeleteMy husband has a sister named Anne too! This was a beautful tribute to your sister-in-law. We never know when our appointed day will arrive do we? It's always good to be prepared.
ReplyDeleteVery precious! I don't have the reference off the top of my head but recall the verse, "The memory of the just is blessed!"
ReplyDeleteWhat a kind, caring tribute to Anne. I've experienced the PAIN of not having an opportunity to say good-bye to someone you love so much. That is how it was for me with my dad. Sunddenly, out of the blue. Anne left a great legacy.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fine tribute to Anne. She must of been a special sister in law.
ReplyDeleteIt's always difficult to loose a loved one.
