It's been a while in the works...
but our new barn addition is totally finished...
and as of yesterday...
occupied!
Yesterday was moving day.
The cattle that had been making their home in our neighbour's barn...
came back to the farm.
They were soon lounging in their new comfort stalls...
and having their backs scratched under the bright yellow back scratcher.
No protests from the farmyard whatsoever!
I had planned to go document things on moving day...
but had little visitors here yesterday...
so this reporter stayed home.
But I did send my camera.
So I now have a few photos...
and a camera that smells like the barn.
We'll have to find a way to remedy that.
Have a wonderful weekend!
What great digs! And an automatic back scratcher? I need one of those!
ReplyDeleteThat back scratcher - is it available online?
ReplyDeleteHmmmm - no idea of a solution for the camera afflicted with parfum du ferme....that's got to be a first!
Looks great! I won't tell our cows about the back scratchers...they would be very jealous!
ReplyDeleteHa! Now that's the kind of occupy movement I can get behind!
ReplyDeleteEven the cows got a Christmas gift.....lounging cows......how does that work:):)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! It looks impressive!
ReplyDeleteQuite a cozy space for the cows. Do they get a Christmas tree or at least a wreath somewhere too?
ReplyDeleteIt's called MOOOO...VIING IN!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see that your addition is completed and I'm sure they are all so enthusiastically milking just in time for Christmas.
I have heard that happy cows give better milk, and I am sure you have some happy, contented cows:) Nice barn!
ReplyDeleteLove, Morg's Mooo-ving ...
ReplyDeleteand the back scratcher! Does it make for happier cows?
I love these posts that cause me to pass the notebook over to T. Oh I would love to bring some little ones over some time. What a beautiful barn.
ReplyDeletecongratulations to you. It is a big undertaking and lots of planning.
Your hubby won't need anything under the Christmas tree now. The milking barn looks very efficient. Judy my daughter had already visited the Christmas Market and loved the experience. Thanks for the info!
ReplyDeleteWonderful new accommodations! You will have a happy herd of cows with no more itches that can't be scratched :)
ReplyDeleteThe cows are sure to appreciate their new home (and that back scratcher) by giving even more milk!
