'singing a little sunshine song...'
After a very grey week...
Sunday's sunshine was more than welcome!
My nephew and his wife from Manitoba...
along with their sweet baby...
spent last week with us.
We tried to describe our mountain peaks to Robyn...
but she really didn't believe there were any!
All week the mountains were hidden behind the clouds.
Yesterday we called together all the rest of the clan...
and had a potluck at my sister's place.
She happens to live up on the mountain.
Once we are all good and 'fed up'...
some of us opted for an afternoon walk.
Three dogs...and two babies joined the parade.
Oh...Robyn now believes that there are mountains in our neighbourhood.
But she still doesn't think we really know what cold is!
Brrrr.
It's cold today.
Beautiful photos. There has to be an analogy here somewhere. It is funny how much we don't comprehend because we do not see it.
ReplyDeleteJudy we met some dear older people in Prince George who were from Wales and when they retired they moved to your area because they were within sight of the mountains and it felt like home. Thanks for the sunshine song. I'd forgotten that. Hope the sun shines for you all this week as you prepare for your trip.
ReplyDeleteYou do live in the most beautiful area! Gorgeous pictures!
ReplyDeleteWhen we were driving down our road yesterday we saw Mt. Cheam glistening in the sun and boy...was it ever beautiful. Love to photo of the parade too.
ReplyDeleteBrrr it's cold here too. There's snow on the ground - not much, but enough to make the roads slippery.
ReplyDeleteI love catching sight of 'your' mountain when I drive into the valley.
Great shots Judy. Thanks for sharing the parade! As for us, we're still grey, but I guess we can stand a little more rain!

I enjoyed Mount Cheam on my walk yesterday. Every morning I look out my kitchen window to see if I can see the peak....I'm blessed with that view....as are you!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had an enjoyable Sunday.
Our descriptions can never really describe the beauty of a place until we see it with our own eyes. Where you live is so beautiful in photos, I can't imagine seeing it in person!
ReplyDeleteHugs!
Glad she was able to see with her own eyes!
ReplyDeleteWhen your mountains are visible they certainly are gorgeous, Judy!
ReplyDeleteI woke up to sunshine and blue skies today and it was such a refreshing change from all the rain! I think I should take a walk, too, but my mountains are further away.
ReplyDeleteIt's cold here, too. We went for a walk this evening and I was glad for my down coat, my scarf and my gloves.
ReplyDeleteI love looking at your mountains when we visit the area, or pass by. I'm glad they showed themselves to your company from Manitoba.
It is so good to know someone who actually lives in a place of such beauty. I can't imagine what it would feel like to look out one's window and see a sight like you do.
