"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future."
Jeremiah 29:11
Jeremiah 29:11
Jeremiah 29:11 is a special verse that I'd like to leave with Maelyn on this special day.
Have a blessed Sunday...
Postscript (later in the day)....
I just have to add a picture for the record. This morning we had a 'Celebrating God's Family' service...and what a celebration it was! We have had thirteen babies born into our church family this year...and there are nine more on the way. Seven couples took part in the child dedication during the second service...others had participated in the early service. How awesome to stand with these parents who know that 'life is worth the living, just because He lives'...and to pledge our support as they start on this challenging and rewarding job of parenting.

Beautiful Maelyn! What an honor to bring a child before the Lord and the congregation and promise to raise her in the love and knowledge of God. I've said a little prayer for this day and what it will mean in the hearts of her parents and grandparents and all those who pledge with them to support this new family in prayer. God bless you richly today!
ReplyDeleteJudy, your family is so blessed. It makes me smile to think about you. By distance you are far away from where I am, but I know we share God's spirit.
ReplyDeleteGod bless Maelyn and your family.
Beautiful verse. God certainly does have uniquely designed plans for my little girl. Thanks mom.
ReplyDeleteJudy, I just had goosebumps when I saw little Maelyn's photo, when I read your words of hope for her life and when I read that her mommy and daddy are committing to raise her to love Jesus. What a blessing.
ReplyDeleteShe is so sweet..
ReplyDeleteThe Jeremiah scripture is one of my favourites.
ReplyDeleteSweetheart Maelyn! We dedicate babies in our church too. What a little sweetie. To have so many new babies in the church must mean you have a truly growing church. Praise the Lord!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulatiosn to Maelyn and your whole family, Judy! Many blessings and joys be hers throughout her life.
ReplyDeleteI love that scripture also.
Judy,
ReplyDeleteI had read your morningpost before we left for church yesterday morning and thought of you as we sang Mighty to Save during our worship yesterday. The family of God is so marvelous. PTL
Thank You for this wonderful reminder that no matter our travels...our LORD clears our path when we travel in HIS name!!!
ReplyDeleteYour family's testimony will help clear Beautiful Maelyn's way...no matter her path.
Congratulations!!!
Precious Maelyn, may God bless your life with His fullness. Heidi and Tim I pray that God will bless you as you choose this day to raise your little girl in His ways. How tender is the love of God for all these little lives that were brought before him this weekend. A new generation being raised to serve our great God. Kathy
