all things

And we know that in all things God works
for the good of those who love him,
who have been called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28 NIV

We took our granddaughters to see an excellent performance of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat this weekend. The life of Joseph is such a good reminder that even the troubles in our lives can ultimately be for our own good. Though his brothers meant to harm him...God used Joseph's suffering for a greater purpose. When we are looking through the rain...and the clouds...let's remember to keep our eyes on Jesus....and be assured that
all things will work together for good.

  1. I love this verse. It has brought me through a lot of things, and always brings me peace when I read it, knowing His promise to me.

  2. I love this verse too, it has such meaning to our everyday lives. I listened to a sermon on our purpose in life and it was so rewarding, we are to serve, love and glorify Him every day. What a wonderful show you got to see, beautiful! Blessings, Heather

  3. This is such an important truth, and it is so essential that we mush hold on to it.

That was such a wonderful experience to share with your girls.

  4. Thank you for that, Judy.
Sometimes it's hard to trust, but it really is always the only the thing to do.

  5. How fun that you and the grands went to see that play!

There's a lot in beween sometimes...or as Corrie ten Boom put it: "The worst can happen, but the best remains."

  6. I saw that play a few years ago, and enjoyed it so much. What an encourgement that verse is to me, when I really take it to heart and believe it to be true, despite how my circumstances may appear to be. Thanks for the reminder!

  7. I too have read this verse many a time..a time when I can't see the good but know that in the end God has only the best for me.

  8. Thanks for sharing this, it's always good to remind ourselves of these truths.

  9. This verse is one that I refer to often when I need a reminder in my own life. Thanks for your Sunday blessing. Kathy

  10. This verse is one that I refer to often when I need a reminder in my own life. Thanks for your Sunday blessing. Kathy

  11. Comforting verse...thank you.

I saw that play years ago and enjoyed it very much at the time, also, Judy.

    Better rain than snow!

  12. Great Story, Great message. Great Music.
Fun to share these stories with the next generation.
