always something to sing about...

This was my nephew, Jamison...not so long ago.

Although, from the photo you would think he looked somewhat the philosophical type...he was actually an entertainer...with a great sense of humour...and music in his soul! He played the drums before he could talk...and entertained his pre-school classmates with Beach Boys songs when he was three years old.

At the age of two...he led a choir of cousins in song. That wasn't really the plan...but when it comes to leading the music...Jamison just can't help himself.

He is still ever the entertainer...

...and even willing to give my grands impromptu music lessons...when the opportunity arises.

Jamison majored in music...all through school. He has spent the last several years in a worship arts program at Columbia Bible College...

...and worked as an intern at our church this summer...leading worship on many occasions. He even preached the sermon last Sunday...and although we were not there to hear it...I listened to it on-line...after the fact...and must say he did a fine job!

Yesterday morning Jamison led worship at church...and in the afternoon he left with his travelling band...for an end of summer tour. Who knows...he may be making music in a town somewhere near you. He is a wonderful musician...has released a new CD recently...and was featured artist on CBC Radio recently. I wish him much success as he uses his gifts and talents to glorify God.

Enjoy the day...

  1. I love watching children grow up and see them follow such a wonderful path. . .some are worship leaders .. .some go to far away lands. ..some have hands to bring healing .. .some bring food to our tables . .. some teach our children .. .and some just make us smile.

I'll keep my eyes open for this young man.

  3. Oh Judy, you need to put him on YouTube at least for us! Can't you get that young man to stand still long enough to be recorded for your post? You must be so proud!!!

  4. Oh, I agree I love to see the young folks step up to lead praise to the Lord. I agree, also, with Sandi, maybe you could get him to gift us with a video. Praise be to God.

  5. It is so great to see how God works in the lives of young people. How He has His hand on them from when they are born. My son is a worship leader and I remember the day God told me he would be and have watched God work in his life over the years.
Your nephew is surely a very talented and gifted young man.

It is so good to see the young use their talents for good things and in good ways -- what better way than to Glorify God?

  9. I love the generosity that is given to some people, to share their gifts freely. Lovely to read about young people like your nephew, and lovely of you to shine a light on him!
