my annual joyride...again

The days slip by...as do the years! Once again it is time to make a special delivery...down country roads...to visit our accountant. As it turns out...it was exactly one year ago to the day since I last delivered the year-end paperwork. That's the thing about blogging...it's all documented right here.

My header photo was taken last year on October eighth as I drove this same route...

...looking much as it does now!

The train passed by before I arrived at the tracks...and soon I had my package safely in the hands of our accountant. Whew...I am always relieved when my part of the process is complete...and the rest is up to him.

My next stop was so predictable...

...the garden shop, of course. What with the bookwork out of the way...it was time to put in a few fall plants. I found exactly what I came for...and more!

The route home took me past Maria's flower garden.... who could resist one more photo? Her dahlias look amazing!

I spent the afternoon working outside..so much more therapeutic than working in the office.

For the record...today's photos are the first ones taken with my new camera. It is finally out of the box...but I have really no idea how to use it. My attempt at installing the software onto my computer failed...and with no IT person at my beck and call...I gave up. My laptop decided that it would be a little more agreeable...and so for now...I have switched computers. Eventually the new camera and I will be friends...but in the meantime, I have much to learn!

Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. Judy, I smiled at this post. I felt I could completely relate to blogging the anniversary of things blogged before. .but it is a record of what we've done. Just as you enjoy seeing that lovely scenery on the way to the accountants. .we enjoy seeing it again too.
I'm glad you have that behind you .. now you can concentrate on that great new camera. The pictures look great so far.

  2. I would never have known that the camera is just now coming out of the box. What I last remember is the unfortunate incident with the former camera. You take beautiful pictures, Judy. I've come to believe that it is far more about the photographer than the camera anyway.

Glad that your taxes or whatever you've been working on is a thing of the past for you for another year. It can't be easy to run one's own business and keep up with it all.

  3. The Fall pictures of the leaves and the flowers are beautiful! I just love all the vibrant colors.

I have come to appreciate your organizational and plan ahead ways. Your husband is fortunate to have someone like you to help in the many areas that you do.

Hope you have a great weekend!

  6. Your photographs are wonderful Judy! They are clear crisp and colorful. Your trees have so much more fall color than ours ..ours are still mainly green. I'm getting impatient..lol

My husband is our accountant and I'm very grateful that he enjoys that task. He's always been good at math and I'm the opposite.

Blogging is a wonderful way to keep track of our lives, isn't it?
