You know they are from the country when there are Holstein calves peeking out of the rear window of their pick-up truck. I smiled as I followed this truck to Costco recently....and I think the calves were smiling as well.
They have plenty of legroom...the views are fantastic...the air quality is just right...they were riding in style!
As for the calves on our farm...they get moved in a calf box...low lighting, no views, little leg room...and no meals while enroute. Hmmm...I'm glad our calves don't know about the first class option.
May you have lots to smile about today...
Your post certainly made me smile. :-)
ReplyDeleteMade me smile and reminded me of our first drive to North Carolina-our new home- following a small station wagon with two large goats in the back and then a motorcycle with a cat in a box strapped to the back. I was not sure it was the welcome I wanted!
ReplyDeleteOh I loved that story. Got me going this morning. Blessings
ReplyDeleteQMM
Judy..you sure made me smile! Our calves never rode in this style either..
ReplyDeleteOK that is hilarious! So glad you had your camera and glad you didn't bump into them while taking the photo :0)
ReplyDeleteYou should never leave home without your camera, Judy - you get the best shots! You've got us all smiling on this rainy morning at the thought of first class for the cows.
ReplyDeleteThat is pretty funny!
ReplyDeleteI love how you see things. ..very fun.
ReplyDeleteDid you know that was me driving the truck? At least it could of been 25 years ago...
ReplyDeleteYou make me smile ... especilaly at the fact that you have your camera ready...or do you have one in the car and one in the kitchen?
ReplyDeleteThat's am amazing sight to this city girl! I never imagined I would see cows in a car...even if they are only calves...
ReplyDeleteThat I have never seen :)
ReplyDeleteThis gave me a big smile. And, I promise not to tell your calves.
ReplyDeleteWonder what the calves were going to buy at Costco? Jeeze...it seems like everyone shops there nowaday. (Maybe I misunderstood what was happening here?)
ReplyDeleteDid you use a 'hands free' camera?Smile...obviously I live in the lower mainland too. Actually I don't think I've heard cameras mentioned in the whole cell phone hands free thing! Great spontaneous photo op!
ReplyDeleteI've been following your blog (and MGCC) for a while now and I love it. I just like how you tell your stories Judy, and show in wonderful pictures, glimpses into your life. It shows your heart in a way that is not proud or arrogant but true caring about family and people and faith and although 'things' are nice (and you have a gorgeous dream home and I love it, but above all a great family you have reason to be proud of) you don't try impress. I like that you come across as just being you (and I don't even know you!)
A faithful lurker:)
What a fun photo!
ReplyDeleteThis is pretty funny, but it is right...you just never know what you will see next in this neck of the woods that brings urban and country together....I guess the idea is to achieve the goal of moving the calves, regardless of the "how"....
ReplyDeleteI needed this smile today. I am proud of you that you carry your camera with you. How sad if you would have missed a photo op like that. Your gift of writing and your photography skills make this a fun post.
ReplyDeleteHi Judy!! I am thrilled to find you again... and have enjoyed reading your past posts.
ReplyDeleteI loved Julie & Julia too... and that pic with the calves... too funny!
I'll be back for more reading.
Happy twenty-ten!
