We came home yesterday...to lawns that need mowing...and rhododendrons and daffodils blooming. A white star magnolia is just beginning to bloom...and we all but missed the blossoms of the pink magnolia.
We also missed the grands...and the kids...and invited them all for pizza last night....and caught up on the latest. Emme won a 'gold' at a competitive skipping competition near Seattle over the weekend...spring break had come and gone in our absence...and Maelyn had some new words to try out on us.
Oh...and we missed some sleep the previous night...
...since we caught the 'fly-by-night' WestJet special from Hawaii to Vancouver. We boarded the plane late at night...caught a few winks high in the air...and arrived in Vancouver in time for breakfast. I was ready for bed early last night...and quite enjoyed my own pillows and mattress.
I have also missed all of my blogging friends...and look forward to visiting you at your blog...soon!
And...one of these days I'll take you back to Hawaii...and the best of our Big Island adventures.
Have a terrific Tuesday...
Welcome home Judy!
ReplyDeleteI also took the red eye home this morning from Colorado, where I had just spent a week with my grandson and his Daddy & Mommy. :-)
Looking forward to seeing your photos and reading about all your Hawaiian adventures.
I haven't been having nearly as much fun as you. I enjoyed your pics. Hawaii is one place I'd love to visit. Sigh* I keep wishing my daughter and her Marine would get stationed there. Naturally, we'd have to go! It's always good to get home, isn't it. Lovely home and pretty blooms.

Glad you had a good break, what a beautiful house you have! Yes its great to go away and always wonderful to be home again.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to home sweet home!
ReplyDeleteI hate to say it.. .a grammie is a predictable woman. . you did what I knew you'd do .. look at your lawn and garden making mental notes to get out there .. and then you called your grands and kids to come for pizza. . oh how fun.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful thing it is to be away and missed.
OH. .and congratulations to Emme on her skipping award. .that is amazing. There must have been a lot of competitors.
Welcome home Judy. .you've been sorely missed by this girl too.
It's good to have you home Judy! Good to hear that you had a great vacation but there is no place like home!
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine the 'big hugs and smiles' you got from the grands..
Welcome home, back to our beautiful area - you also missed the spring snow!!! Looking forward to hearing about your trip.
ReplyDeleteVery happy I am to see you safely home. And such lovely blossoms and green grass to welcome you, too! Hawaii will be lovely through your eyes...looking forward to that.
ReplyDeleteGreat to have you back! First things first....kids and grands. i love it! Your yard is looking so nice already, and you have been away. I'm looking forward to seeing your gardens again this year from time to time. Kathy (MGCC)
ReplyDeleteHome at the end of a trip is always the best place to be. Catching up with those you love over pizza together sounds just about perfect!
ReplyDeleteIt is good to have you back...
ReplyDeleteForget all the high grass..the sun is going to shine in the next few days...
You'll be raring to go then..
Isn't it wonderful to have a lovely vacation and come home to an equally lovely home?
ReplyDeleteYou are so blessed on so many levels!
