Wow - that's gorgeous!
Oh so lovely! Quintessential southern charm! Love it.
Such a beautiful spot - we visited that plantation many years ago - the quintessential plantation!
Isn't that gorgeous?! Of Hush, Hush, Sweet Charlotte fame, too. I thought it looked familiar so Googled. Secretly, I was hoping for Gone With the Wind, but the former's not so bad.
Ah the memories of flirting with Bernie as we strolled through the trees on a foggy cold December day. Sigh...it is such a romantic place.
Amazing building...hope you are having fun!!
My daughter and I toured Oak Alley about 5 years ago, along with two other plantations. It was so enjoyable! I hope you were able to have lunch at one of them.. Louisiana cooking is so delicious!
The trees down south are so beautiful. Thanks for sending a postcard ! Enjoy your travels!
Those trees look like they are protecting the home - what a beautiful place!
Looks beautiful. Enjoy your visit.
I have a sudden urge to say "Y'all" whilst wearing a hoop skirt. Hey, while y'all are down south, have you watched "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" ?
Those pink azaleas against the beautiful green grass background just make me want to join you on your road trip!
Beautiful postcard. Thank you.
Awesome setting, love the tree lined walkway. Hugs!
Love the beauty of this place! Can you believe I live in Louisiana and have not visited Oak Alley? Unbelievable, I know! Hope you enjoyed your visit in our state.Your earlier post and pics of the eagles in your backyard are amazing! Getting to snap those pics would be a dream come true for me!
"Grand Dame" seems like the perfect name for that charming place.
I enjoy watching you record your love for natural beauty.
Vee- Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte was filmed at Houmas House Plantation just upriver from Oak Alley. In fact, they have a room called the Bette Davis room and it's where she slept while filming the movie.
