who knew?

The blossoms are out in full force.

Who knew  our local airport drive could look this scenic?

Who knew that after one week without rain...
the cranberry fields down the road would be thirsty?

As I was  taking a photo of the irrigation in progress...
from the freeway overpass just north of our place...
a passing cyclist caught my eye.
And got caught in the eye of my camera. :)

Who knew one could pedal a bicycle along Highway 1 (Trans-Canada Highway) in Chilliwack?
Is that even legal?
I'm thinking it is fool hardy!

Who knew that ginger came in liquid form?

My sister brought me some from Australia...
and I'm adding it to stir-fries and the like.
Handy!

Who knew that a roof needs washing on occasion?

There's a good reason that some of us are not too fond of moss!

And those are a few random shots of  life in my neighbourhood this first week of April, 2013.

Have a wonderful weekend...

  4. Lovely views...including the roof washing. That's a not-so-happy chore on the docket for this spring here, too. You're right, riding a bike on the highway is probably not the wisest thing to do.

  5. Who knew!? Those blossoms are beautiful. That's pretty cool to have a bucket to stand in for pressure washing roofs! Have a great weekend!

  6. I love your random shots of life. The cherry trees are gorgeous! Is your roof made of cedar shingles? Is that why you have it washed? And why your husband doesn't like moss? Interesting. :)

  10. A busy week!
I'm going to show The Great Dane the shot of your roof being cleaned. He believes it's his duty/right to climb up and do it himself and I am holding firm to my NO WAY!

  11. Hi Judy!

Spring is out full force where you are! Spring cleaning of a roof is new to me, but I woudn't want any moss growing on my roof, either! There are many bicycle paths nearby the roads here in Colorado, but they are a little more off the shoulder of the highway.

  12. And who would have guessed that I would have been so blessed again by my visit here. What a fun way to share bits and pieces of your April world. Spring sure looks good there. I wonder if the pink trees on your picture are the same as the one we have?

  13. Hmm it seems like your blog ate my first comment (it was super long)
so I guess I'll just sum it up what I wrote and say, I'm thoroughly enjoying your blog.
I too am an aspiring blog writer but I'm still new to the whole thing. Do you have any tips and hints for first-time blog writers? I'd certainly appreciate it.
