I have a new choir of angels in the garden this year...
a little taller and stronger than those that went before.
No louder though!
The old ones were weary and weather worn.
No louder though!
The old ones were weary and weather worn.
They may be a poor representation of the 'heavenly hosts'...
but they are a reminder of the angel choir that sang praises to the newborn King on that first Christmas.
Hark! The herald angels sing
Glory to the newborn King
Peace on earth and mercy mild
God and sinners reconciled
Glory to the newborn King
Peace on earth and mercy mild
God and sinners reconciled
Joyful all ye nations rise
Join the triumph of the skies
With angelic host proclaim
Christ is born in Bethlehem
Hark! The herald angels sing
Glory to the newborn King.
Join the triumph of the skies
With angelic host proclaim
Christ is born in Bethlehem
Hark! The herald angels sing
Glory to the newborn King.
I am reminded to focus on Christ...
the reason for the season.
Singing praises is always a good thing.

ReplyDeleteAre these angels ever cute! Did you or your hubby make them? I see they have halos too. So sweet!
ReplyDeleteThese angels are adorable and I am appreciating the close-up look. I like their halos, arms, stars, and greenery. Well done!
ReplyDeleteSo cute!
ReplyDeleteGreat angels and great hymn!
ReplyDeleteAngels come in many forms, and these are adorable! Love the words to that song too!
ReplyDeleteThose angels are so cute. Singing praises here too... Glory to the Saviour.
ReplyDeleteLove your angels and this song! Blessings...
ReplyDeleteAngels come in all sizes and shapes, it seems, and even different materials. I love the look of your angels! Glory to the King.
ReplyDeleteWell, I also make three new angels this year, taller and of hardier wood then the last set. The tallest is to hold a star, but alas the star is in the house and at -30ish degree weather I'll wait until it warms up next week for him/her to get its star. Aren't they just so nice to sit outside in the garden. I guess sister think alike. Kate
ReplyDeleteI love your new angel trio!!! It's always good to have a reminder to focus on - especially the reason for this season. Good job!
ReplyDeleteI need to check those out. Sometimes things need replacing...it's nice to know that God accepts us in whatever state.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful angels! I love that Christmas carol..you have me singing it now.
ReplyDeleteI like your angels standing guard. May angels surround your home and bring tidings of great joy to all!
ReplyDeleteWe ALL love your angels!!! I have angels made from silk and lace INSIDE but none OUTSIDE! Perhaps next year I will have fashioned a choir to sing along with YOURS!
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful, Judy! I hear them singing all the way here.
