A few weeks back, Heidi and Tim came for lunch. As is custom, I poured coffee for all of us...and Heidi declined her cup (not custom!). There could only be one reason she would be declining a cup of coffee!
Then came a call wondering if I had a recipe for that rice pudding we used to enjoy at The Pantry. She had been craving it for weeks and just had to have some! Hmmmm.
On her next visit she went rummaging through my cedar chest...she was not really looking for vintage linens, but wondering if there were any baby clothes hidden in there. As luck would have it, there were a few outfits, blankets and booties...that were once hers.
Heidi and Tim are looking forward to welcoming their first child in September...and we share in their joy. There...as you can see, I have now let the cat out of the bag!
So I shall get back to work on my bunny quilt...it won't be ready for Easter, but I will aim for September!
And Heidi, I am looking forward to playing tennis with you this summer. I'm thinking you might be about as slow as your mother on the court...make for a bit more of a level playing field.
Wonderful, wonderful news! Congratulations to the whole family!! (Yup, that sure explains things, doesn't it? :>)
