We left the Oregon outback this morning...bound for home.
We took a small detour to check out the Kah-nee-ta Resort at Warm Springs...
...we wouldn't want to miss something interesting when we are so close!
It looks like a wonderful place to revisit one fine day...hot spring pools galore, water slides and a lovely RV park. A great place for the grandkids...complete with teepees!
The sun was shining...it was warm and the trees were blossoming.
One hour later we found ourselves in a snowstorm...
...we weren't expecting that! There's no way to the coast but over the mountain passes...and one must always be prepared for snow.
We crossed the familiar border into Canada this evening...with no problems whatsoever! The Americans weren't nearly as welcoming ten days ago when we entered the US to catch an early morning flight. They searched all our bags...and were not in the least bit concerned that we may miss our flight!
Once back on home soil, we made a quick stop at Tim Horton's...now we really felt like we were back home. It's always good to be back!
Oh Judy, what a lovely post, and won't it be wonderful to be back home?

Judy, welcome back to Canada. What a contrast, eh, sun and blossoms, to a snowstorm! Our weather at home has been like that all week too. Dairymary
ReplyDeleteI so enjoyed your trip, and I'm glad you have safely returned home.
ReplyDeleteI just love returning home from a trip. It's like snuggling into a comfy chair.
What a contrast in weather..yikes! We haven't had any snow but it's freezing rain this morning.
ReplyDeleteWelcome home Judy..always good to arrive home to the familiar!
My goodness Judy...what a long and wonderful journey...thank you for bringing us along...I cannot believe you ran into snow...Oh well...so what else is new you say :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you made it home safely! I'm sure you're happy to be home and back to familiar surroundings! I love venturing out...but I love returning home more!

No Tim Horton's stateside on the West Coast? Weird! I couldn't survive without Tim.
ReplyDeleteHope that all is well with you and that you settle back in gently.
