The peace of God that is far beyond our understanding....as I've been asking God to give His peace to a family who is going through a time of loss, I know He is able to embrace them with His peace, but I can't always get my head around not being anxious when life brings such sorrow. I pray that He will gaurd their hearts and minds, and comfort them. Thank you for this instruction for us today. It is a comfort just to know that we can bring our cares, and our worries to the Lord and He will be there for us.
Our sermon last Sunday was on this portion of Philippians. We were also reminded to be specific when we pray. Let God know what your requests. Our pastor cross referenced the passage in Matthew where the 2 blind men asked Jesus to have mercy on them and then Jesus asked them "what would you like me to do" then they told Jesus they wanted their sight and he gave them their request.... Have a great week Judy!
God sent me here this morning. He knew I needed a gentle, loving reminder that "yes", He is still in total control and He is big enough to handle it all for me. Beautiful, inspiring reminder!
Thank you for a good reminder, Judy. Worrying does us no good, while prayer will always take us the right way.

A good reminder that it is all in God's hands. Prayer is healing and hopeful.
