the first door...

It's time to open 'door number one' of the advent calender!

Spencer was all thrilled that she could open the first door on grammy's advent calender. She wasn't all that impressed that there were no chocolates under the doors though! So the countdown to Christmas 2007 is under way.

Tonight we are going as a family to watch the annual Christmas Parade of Lights, which takes place in our fair town. Brrr! I'm cold just thinking about it...and I'm not even in Winnipeg. I think winter has arrived.

I'm out the door bright and early today...hope you all have a good one.

  1. I can't believe brown sugar went home!! and I'm sad I'll have to miss the parade this year. Ah well...maybe by next year we'll have staff.

  2. Make sure you have your down filled mittens. Levi thought he could be tough and avoided wearing mittens yesterday, but only for a little while....

Isn't if fun opening those first doors? My big girls get to open their first doors today.
I used your idea about pampering with the "Senses"

I love advent calendars, and what a great thing to do with the girls.

  4. Ooooh- this is a favorite day for our children as well. We loved our Mother's advent calendar, and would often rush to be the first each morning!
