we wait....

We wait...not always patiently.

We know that this is how the 'blossom drive' should look on April 6th.
We wait this year.

We are exercising patience over here.

They that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.  Isaiah 40:31

  1. Good thing you have the picture to prove it! A whole lot of waiting this year in a whole lot of places.

  2. We also wait over here! I fear that the blossoms on the sidewalk and in the gutters will rival those on the trees at this late date.

  5. oh boy ..are we ever. The waiting room for spring weather is not terribly appealing. God does hold the weather in his hands too.. .so we anticipate each moment of sun breaking through.

  6. Oh dear I don't know how patiently I am waiting. I'll have to fix my mind elsewhere so I can persevere. Blessings Judy!

  8. I know exactly where you were and on Sunday we said to each other....."these trees are taking their sweet time to bloom this year". Waiting....not easy.

  10. Sure, the good wonderful christian side of me should be saying, "Enjoy the weather as it is right now" but the other side of me (the side that just had some more snow fall on the upper levels of her town and there are no blossoms to be seen anywhere!) is saying to winter, "@%#$##%"

Yeah, yeah, now I have to go and repent!...in the snow!

  11. We do too - I'm taking pictures of the snow as it melts - one week of above zero weather and it's still sitting over 99% of our land - but by next week it might be a different story. Spring will be glorious whenever it arrives!

  15. I notice today that my hyacinths bloomed overnight! U also hear lots of baby birds chirping in their nests. I believe Spring is trying very hard to come back here to NYC, and I believe this weekend it might finally arrive! I hope your beautiful trees bloom soon!
