happy endings...

It's summertime and it seems all the programs are coming to an end...at the same time.

Maggie put on a 'creative dance' exhibition this week...with her ballerina friends.  It was too cute!

And both Ryder and Ranen graduated from pre-school yesterday.  Thankfully I had just enough time to make it from one school to the next...to take in both ceremonies.

Ryder took the whole thing very seriously...he and his good buddy!  He is very excited that he has been promoted to kindergarten...but just can't understand why he has to wait until the end of summer before he can start!

Ranen sang her heart out with her classmates...and then accepted her diploma saying she had completed all pre-school requirements.  She plans to continue her studies at the same school next year.

Ryder asked me on Monday night if I was coming to watch his soccer game.  Since the sun was shining...and I had not yet been to any of his games...I said, "But of course!"

What fun watching five-year-olds play soccer!  They needed to be reminded about the game on hand every so often.

Last night we took in Emme & Spencer's last soccer game of the season.  It looked to me like they had a lot of fun!

All good things must come to an end (so they say)...but I'm glad I could take part in the 'happy endings'.

Wishing you a terrific Thursday!

  3. Don't you just love having your grands close enough for you to participate in their lives?! What a blessing! (and it all looks fun, too)

  4. You're one of the finest grandmothers I've ever known. Your grands must each believe that he or she is your favorite. Sam is so annoyed by not having more school as his little brother must go all summer and he feels left out. Sam and Ryder could have some good times, especially since Ryder has an inside track on farming. Sounds as if your summer days are going to stay busy and happy.

  5. Lovely that you can be there for all the joyful events, Judy. I imagine that it means a lot to those little ones to look out into the crowd and see their grandma. Sweet, sweet photos!

  15. Such wonderful endings! Maggie looks so pretty in her pink ballet costume, Ryder and Ranen already look like true scholars, and Emme & Spencer look like soccer stars! I was particularly happy to see your son looking so well with the crutches at his side just as an after thought--hope he almost completely healed!

  17. The life of a happy Grammy with many little ones demanding her attention.
I still have the big ones needing my escort attention as they climb hills, with their little ones...but it's all so fun when things come to an end for school again....
I can hear the teachers echoing...
    HURRAH!!!!!
