Yesterday we hiked where we had never been before...
...in the beautiful wilderness of British Columbia north of Whistler.
With its magnificent glacial peaks, cold rushing streams and turquoise lakes...
this area only became a provincial park in 1996.
Joffre Lakes...there are three of them.
Check them out if you are ever in the area.
Oh...and come with proper footwear.
We saw someone attempting the steep trail with flip flops.
Not a good idea!
Oh the color of that water is magnificent...what makes it so? You're certainly living in a gorgeous part of the world.

ReplyDeleteThe water looks so beautiful there! It also looks so nice and cool there, or am I imagining it? We just returned from a two week drive/trip to Colorado. It is very hot and humid tonight in NYC...whew!
