...in the beautiful wilderness of British Columbia north of Whistler.
With its magnificent glacial peaks, cold rushing streams and turquoise lakes...
this area only became a provincial park in 1996.
Joffre Lakes...there are three of them.
Check them out if you are ever in the area.
Oh...and come with proper footwear.
We saw someone attempting the steep trail with flip flops.
Not a good idea!
Oh the color of that water is magnificent...what makes it so? You're certainly living in a gorgeous part of the world.

ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous place...I'm a little envious! :-)
ReplyDeleteI think we live in the most beautiful place in the world. We're looking forward to a little hiking in the Rockies later this month.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't that view just make your soul sing?
Absolutely beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe water looks so beautiful there! It also looks so nice and cool there, or am I imagining it? We just returned from a two week drive/trip to Colorado. It is very hot and humid tonight in NYC...whew!
ReplyDeleteWOW that is the most beautiful photo I've seen today! It's like a dream...playing catch up since I'm allowed up 2 hours at a time twice a day now...glad I came by, Judy
