With Easter just around the corner...
and the grands itching to decorate the 'Easter egg' tree...
...we decided to do just that a few days ago!
It didn't really feel much like spring....
...as the wind whipped those eggs around.
But they got the job done.
An hour or two passed...
and it was winter once again.
Just briefly though.
When we see what kind of weather the rest of the country is putting up with...
we will gladly take a passing hailstorm or two.
A little hail in the spring flower bed...
...is a nice touch.
The weekend has been beautiful...
so nice for getting outdoors to work and play.
Or eat.
The neighbour brought us salmon on Saturday.
We popped it on the grill...

Or eat.
The neighbour brought us salmon on Saturday.
We popped it on the grill...
...and enjoyed dinner on the back patio.
The patio furniture is still packed away for the winter...
but we found a wee table and two chairs.
It is spring!
(I think.)
Your Easter tree looks lovely! We too are experiencing strange weather, sunshine then snow then more snow...really hope it warms up by next weekend so we too can eat on the patio!
ReplyDeleteYesterday was definitely like a spring day, especially after the week that included hail, sleet and snow. I'm itching to get into the garden and weed, as the beds are suspiciously green!
ReplyDeleteI love the Easter Tree in the snow!
I guess it gives new meaning to the phrase "go with the flow". It's good to be flexible when we aren't in charge!! :)
ReplyDeleteLove your little egg hangers. Such cuties!
Love your tree.....kids are keeners for those special days no matter what the weather...and it looks like you had an every changing sky. Darling little sisters!!! Salmon on the BBQ..yummy!
ReplyDeleteLove your easter egg tree! So very fun no matter what season it is. You do have lots of fun always up your sleeve. It makes me wish I had a Grammie like you are. OH...spring looks lovely there.
ReplyDeleteCute Easter egg tree in the snow/hail! The grands must have loved it. Spring is on her way, but not without some hiccups, it seems.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos of the grand kiddies Judy despite the cold weather! You seem to have a little piece of Paradise there!
ReplyDeleteHappy Spring and God bless,
That Easter tree looks like a fun German tradition! Did you do that growing up?
ReplyDeleteHailstorms or not... spring is here! On a sun-shiney day like today, I can say it with assurance.
That's a cute post...as you were decorating for Easter while snow was falling. Hope that you also enjoyed the sunshine this weekend and it looks like you had a First...
ReplyDeleteGosh, they look darling decorating the Easter egg tree. Looks as if your spring weather is about as unpredictable as anyone else's. And how I love your Joie de Vivre! That supper on the patio perfectly represents it, I think.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is typical spring/March weather in Canada isn't it? I love the egg tree. It looks so sweet and especially the pics of the grands decorating it. I heard you had a nice weekend and dining on the patio sound wonderful to me. Have a great week Judy.
ReplyDeleteThat sure looks like Spring to me!!! Those little girls are so adorable and the tree is wonderful. Salmon on the back deck - how wonderful!!! Have a great week Judy!
ReplyDeleteI can't think of a prettier place to eat grilled salmon! Wow! Your lawn and patio look so inviting! The egg tree is a great idea! The hail and daffodils just don't seem to go together though.
ReplyDeleteWell, this time of year everyone can have their favorite weather sometime in the day or week. The Easter tree is a new one on me. Sounds fun and looks pretty! Your granddaughters are so lovely!
ReplyDeletePS: if you are to get an Easter Sunday snowstorm for real, remember to do what the ski resorts do around here: hide white hard cooked eggs in the drifts. That will keep the kids busy hunting for a really long time!
ReplyDeleteWe all know that he weatherman can be wrong, but the forecast for Easter weekend is sunshine and around 20 degrees C (that would be about 70F). I think the eggs will be nestled in the green grass...outdoors this year.
DeleteYes, we had a big rainstorm Sat night and it brought the cold weather. So, we nearly froze at the grandboy's soccer game tonight! We always get one last cold snap before Easter. Hope it warms up by Sunday!
ReplyDeleteToday, I went to the beachfront with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She put
ReplyDeletethe shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit
crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go
back! LoL I know this is totally off topic but I had to tell someone!
