Psalm 127:3
Though my mother is not here to celebrate this day with...I do have three special moms in my life...and they happen to be the mothers of my precious grandchildren. Happy Mother's Day to you...Broni, Lisa and Heidi!
You are all wonderful moms...a job that is at times overwhelming, demanding and sometimes thankless. It is the most important responsibility you will ever have...that of nurturing, caring for and loving your children. It is also the most rewarding...is there anything else in this world that compares to the worshipful and loving gaze of a one-year-old?
Mothering is a job that seems like it will go on forever...but I know from experience...that it's over before you know it. We retain the title MOM forever...but the day-to-day responsibilities are one day gone. Make the most of these years...give your children your time and your love...do what you know is best...and in the end you will have few regrets.
And one fine day...although you will still be MOM...you will be promoted to Grammyhood. That is the best...a reward in itself...I know!
Love,
Happy Mothers day to you...

What a nice post, Judy! Your daughter and your daughters-in-love are all beautiful, talented moms.
ReplyDeleteThanks to your thoughtful comments, I'm zipping off now to send my daughter-in-law a little thank you for being such a good mom. (I can't believe how forgetful I am becoming!)
Proud of your great day and tribute to your daughters. I did a painted mother's day card for my four daughters. My youngest daughter has been married 2 years and does not have children yet. I always send her a card too, since she is a social worker and has a mothering influence in many of her clients lives.
ReplyDeleteVery well said, Judy and so true. I hope you all had a nice Mother's Day.
