Victoria weekend in review...

And how did you spend the holiday weekend...you ask? Well on the farm there was a lot of grass chopping happening...and then a little emptying out of the pits (something that doesn't smell nearly as pleasant as the freshly mowed hay). So the guys were busy from dawn till dusk...and I made sure there was food at the appropriate times.

On Sunday night, we all met at my sister's for a BBQ...the perfect end to a warm summer evening.

Although there was no back-yard pool...these two managed to cool off quite nicely in the fountain! My dad was there with bells ringing ...after spending the good part of a month in the hospital...he is doing just fine. Ryder was quite happy to be able to sit on great-grandpa's lap without wearing a mask and gloves!

For those of us who weren't working yesterday...we decided that a hike up Teapot Hill would be the perfect holiday activity.

So off we went...three sisters...four cousins...and three of my granddaughters.

Maelyn quite enjoyed this method of hiking...and since mommy had her hands full...

...Lauren, my niece who was in town for the weekend looked after the other baby.

Though the sun took a break for the day...the weather was perfect for hiking...and the view from the top is always lovely.

Enjoy the day...

  11. That sounds like my kind of Victoria Day weekend - work in the yard (well, in your case, a BIG yard) then barbecue and a good walk. Your weather matched ours - some sun, some cool weather and even a little rain.
