Words kill, words give life;
they're either poison or fruit—you choose.

The Message
A friend shared this song with me this week...and so I am passing it along to all of you.
The words are ones that should be shared!
Words ~ by Wendy Francisco

Loose lips sink ships, this is widely known.
Be careful what you say, the ship you sink may be your own.

Loose lips sink ships, this is widely known.
Be careful what you say, the ship you sink may be your own.
We may fly or we may fail by the words that we set sail.
Wings of life or webs of death dance upon our very breath.
Place your hand on your letter.
Steer your ship by what you utter.
Your bed is made, you bread is buttered by blessings sung or curses muttered.
Words can heal a wounded heart , ease a child and her fears apart.
Bring hidden darkness into the light.
Make what is wrong in a friendship right.
Choose your words as you choose a jewel, a good word is like rocket fuel.
Proclaim God's grace, evoke his power.
Spread His Love in this needy hour.
We may fly or we may fail by the words that we set sail.
Wings of life or webs of death dance upon our very breath.
Wow, Judy this was beautiful and true. I've been a long time student and proponent of non-violent communication. The uplifting or damaging power of words over all of us needs to be carefully considered, especially when it comes to children. Thank you for this gift early on a busy morning.
ReplyDeleteThat thought..."lose lips sink ships" was echoing through my brain all day yesterday and here I find it again. Thank you and I will be back to listen later in the day. Hope that you're enjoying a wonderful weekend with Elmer!
ReplyDeleteYikes! This is a good wake up call to consider again our words! I've sunk a few ships in my time :0(
ReplyDeleteGod is good and he's the redeemer.
So true Judy. We have the power to make our words help or hurt those around us. It is good to be careful and chose wisely.
ReplyDeleteWords are powerful tools - used for good or evil. They can cause irreparable wounds. Thanks for sharing this reminder to speak wisely and lovingly.
