Come and visit me sometime. My flowers would like to meet you.
Minter Gardens has been calling me for some time.
It is August and I still had not visited even once.
Yesterday was the day...
and with a season ticket in hand...
I'll be going again.
The greatest gift of the garden is the restoration of the five senses.

Gardening is a mirror of the heart.
Cultivate the garden within.
How lovely is the silence of growing things.
One who plants a garden, plants happiness!
We have a project in our community...
where we are encouraged to 'plant a row' to feed the hungry of our community.
I like that idea!
Take time to smell the roses.
We did!

One of my sisters flew home yesterday morning...
and one went to work.
The rest of us went to the garden!
It was a peaceful and relaxing way to end the weekend.
Today we toured the garden.
Tomorrow...
a greenhouse!
How fun to see you with your sisters! I enjoyed seeing some fresh photos from Minter Gardens!

Looks like a beautiful day to begin using your season pass. Yes, I do hope that you get many more uses out of it because that is a beautiful garden. Some of the touches are so whimsical like the peacock. It's obvious that Minter receives a lot of TLC.
ReplyDeleteYou and your sisters look like sisters. That's pretty cool. You wear similar smiles that's for sure.
Outstanding gardens!
ReplyDeleteSweet sisters to enjoy and have fun with.
Sweet blessings to you,

What a beautiful place...so close by and I have not taken a minute to enjoy it this year...but it sure brings back many memories from last fall. We may need to do a cycle and walk through the gardens.
ReplyDeleteSister time is just the best.....and the gardens are a perfect place to walk and talk and enjoy the day. I haven't been there this year yet...you have me hoping to find a day to take in the gardens.
ReplyDeleteYour photos and collage are all so gorgeous. Everything at Minter Gardens looks so lush. The peacock is so clever and they have a gread idea with "grow a row".
ReplyDeleteLooks like a wonderful time spent with your sisters.
Beautiful pictures and gardens, and I loved your quotes along the way.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you guys hit a jackpot of a day! The gardens are showing off their splendor quite nicely! I loved working there in the 80's and giving tours to the tour groups that came through. There were tour groups from New York, Florida, Italy, and they all were amazed at Minter Gardens. They couldn't believe that there was something so spectacular tucked away in a rural community.
