We checked out some dairy farms in the Chandler area...
...farming methods are a little different here, where the cattle can spend all their time outdoors year round. They smell the same though!
We couldn't leave Phoenix without seeing our 'hometown boy' (Steve Nash) in action. We were part of the sold out crowd at Tuesday night's game between the Phoenix Suns and the New York Knicks at the U.S. Airways Centre. It was a great game...Steve played well, the Suns won, and we each received a Suns cap as a souvenir.
It never mattered a bit that I never knew the players, their stats or any of the technical stuff about the game; I sat next to Kathy, which was like having my own personal commentator! We had a fun time, and I'm sure Steve was glad we came to support him. Jim & Kathy flew back to 'winter' yesterday and we drove west to California for the last leg of our road trip.
We are spending our last two days at Outdoor Resorts of Palm Springs, which feels somewhat familiar since we've been here before. We plan to leave our RV in storage here, and fly home tomorrow night. The plan is to fly back here at the end of February and enjoy a little more sunshine! So before tomorrow noon we have to eat everything that's left in the fridge---balanced meals are out the window! (I think we'll be having mostly meat & ice-cream.)
I'm looking forward to the comforts of home and seeing the people that are near and dear! But right now the sun is shining...it is 92 degrees out & the pool beckons.
PS The pictures will have to come later...they are all locked up in my camera for now!!!!
Enjoy that meat and ice cream! Sounds like a complete protein to me. LOL!
ReplyDeleteSafe travels home. It must make it a little easier knowing that February will find you right back in the sun.
Oh wonderful to hear you are still having a great time. I look forward you back in blogging land again.
ReplyDeleteJudy, I have had so much fun catching up on your road trip to our beautiful state!
ReplyDeleteAnd then to find out you saw our SUNS play!!!
And our, well, YOUR Steve Nash play!
Don't you just love him?! He's a treasure all right!
