a postcard from the garden of the gods...

Greetings from Colorado Springs...where we are camped next to a river.  We saw so much yesterday...

..spending a few hours in the 'garden of the gods' park and being amazed once more at God's handiwork!  We toured the air force academy just north of the city...visited Focus on the Family headquarters...and saw Glen Eyrie Castle.   Today we are off to Pike's Peak.

Have a terrific day...

  5. I've never been there, but my husband has and I have a photo of him there, too.
Were you playing "king of the castle?"

  6. I knew you would enjoy the "Garden of the Gods," Judy. We spent hours exploring it from tip to tip and even took a horse ride through it.
Did you know the author of the song "America the Beautiful" was inspired to write that song after seeing the view from Pike's Peak?

  7. I loved visiting the "garden", too with my parents many years ago. Focus on the Family had not come to that part of the world yet or we would have stopped there. We were trying to find the house my dad had visited for one summer when he was younger. It was quite an adventure.
You are really having a great vacation! Thanks for sharing.
