travel reprieve...

Though you may have thought we were on our way to Kenya today...

...I'm thinking we need a reprieve from all the traveling.

The truth is...
my Kenya pictures are still largely unsorted in their files...
and more important things seem to fill up my days.

So we will stay close to home today...
and enjoy the beauty that lies right at our back door.

Sunshine and snow-capped peaks beckon for the camera.

And when the eagles pose in front of Mt. Cheam just for me...
I pull off the road and take a shot or two.

And at the end of the day...
I enjoy the best piece of art spread across the western sky.

It's true...there's no place like home!

  3. Wonderful! And it is always a woman's prerogative to change her mind. I'm glad that you did. (And I'll be glad to go to Kenya, too.) Have a wonderful day, Judy. (Are you still having troubles with spam?)

  4. There's no place like home, indeed.....and when home is one of the most beautiful parts of the continent, and when eagles are posing and the sun putting on an incredible light shoe....well, you just have to go with what's in front of you!

  7. Incredible shots. I can't imagine waking up to that view every morning. It always seems like the grass is greener on the other side, but in your case I would definitely say your view is way better than mine. What a great way to gain inspiration everyday. The majesty of the mountains is amazing. Thanks for sharing!:)

You look fantastic! Only a little while longer! Do know what the sex of the baby will be yet? So exciting, good luck!:)

  8. Good morning!
When I saw your last picture I had to do a double take! It looks exactly like the one on my blog from yesterday! We must have been outside at the same time 2 days ago, taking in the beauty!

  10. Your home is so beautiful, Judy, that you have no need for travel!

It's nice to see the eagles return!

  11. Just right Judy! The sorting and sharing can wait for a much more mundane day. Enjoy the beauty that is happening now, and share as you go!

And maybe that lazy cat could do a little keyboarding and picture editing. I really think that cats actually can do anything. They are just unmotivated and they don't try very hard.

  12. PS: Full Cup's comment has me wondering if you are keeping a miraculous special event from us.
Are you been hiding your pregnancy?

    :-p

  13. Love your pictures and the stories that go with them.....I love the eagles...while living in the UP of Mich. I loved watching adult eagles soaring with their young against the deep blue sky....
Thanks a ton for the pictures.

  14. I just cannot imagine that you could travel to any place more beautiful than where you live and the pictures you shared of it today. Wow! Amazingly landscapes! Those eagles, with the mountains in the background would have had me pulling off the road with my camera too.
