One came from the island...
by ferry boat and chariot.
The other arrived on a bike.
Two of my blogging friends came for coffee and dessert.
It felt like a warm summer evening...
just right for sitting outdoors.
We chatted the night away...
and will have to continue where we left off another time.
Those two are both mothers-of-the-bride in the near future.
How fun to hear them comparing notes!
It was the first front porch party of the year.
There will be more.
Enjoy the sunshine!
Life doesn't get any better than that!
ReplyDeleteYou know, Judy, I've been hanging out here so long that I'm beginning to recognize your friends. In fact, some of your friends are my blogging buds, too. Thanks for sharing; Blogdom is so much fun!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun and a huge treat to hang out with blogging friends!!
ReplyDeleteBuild a Front Porch, and They Will Come!
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine a nicer way to spend an evening than on a front porch with friends, laughing and chatting.
I've just heard that the work site for today is locked up, so I'm heading for the big city south of the border for a little retail therapy! I love the unexpected!
Such lovely guests on your front porch. I recognize them, too. What a great way to celebrate the first front porch party of the season. Here's to many, many more.
ReplyDeleteYou had such a pleasant evening for sitting outside and enjoying your friendship. How nice!
ReplyDeleteFront Porch Season has officially started! Party On!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could have been a quest on your porch to join in the conversation, Judy, as a wedding has been on my mind quiet a bit :) Four more days to go and busy times ahead for us!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great to be able to sit on the porch again? Discussions around two friends who just had the same BD and now in the throws of wedding planning... I'm sure there was not a quiet moment.
ReplyDeleteA porch party with blogging friends sounds like an ideal way to begin the season. Looks like a fun time was had by all.
ReplyDeleteI love your porch and I feel like I know your friends too from blogdom (as Vee mentioned). I wish I could have heard your conversations of turning 60 and being MOB's soon - hmmmm why do I feel like I really missed out - lol! Such a small world!
ReplyDeleteKeep the porch parties going Judy!
Oh what a lovely front porch party! Love seeing these MOTB together!
ReplyDeleteGood friends, a welcoming porch, hot coffee, and time to compare notes, what could be better! Oh, and window boxes already planted make a perfect post. What fun to sit on your porch. I wish you many more hours of joy on it.
ReplyDeleteYes, we arrived and enjoyed the evening.
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting those weary guests who arrived in such peculiar styles.
You just forgot to wash and dust my feet.
Next time I will host.
