We spent the night in the city.
We went for a nice long walk...
and found ourselves at the waterfront as darkness settled in.
The kiosk at Canada Place is a friendly reminder of the winter games we hosted here just two years ago.
Coffee and triple-berry cheesecake...
on a patio on the pier...
on a warm spring evening...
was just the perfect way to end the day.
Who knew the sails at Canada Place changed colour every few minutes?
We know now!
A change of scenery from time to time is a good thing.
Even if there's not much that can compete with the view at home!
Wonderful photo's, what a great evening!
ReplyDeleteLovely night shots!
ReplyDeleteJudy, those are stunning photographs! The reflection in the water is awesome!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know the sails turned color either! Even country folk like a city view once in awhile. Those are great night shots Judy.
ReplyDeleteA change of scenery...aha! That might be just what I need. That and a good haircut.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful city "yours" is and how fun for you to get out and enjoy some nightlife. Pretty cool about those sails and their color changes.
Are you saying that you like the rolling hills more than the city lighs, even those that change colors? =) Isn't it nice to be content where you are but to be able to go and have a change of scenery so easily! I still get taken by surprised at times by the city view and lights. A waterfront and parkfront city, with a mountain view is hard to beat.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! A city always looks prettier when it lights up at night.
ReplyDeleteAre you not ever so blessed to have a world renouned waterfront destination just about an hour from home? The color changing sails must be a new thing. I remember the sails on several occasions, I think I would remember if they had turned color.
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful city - I've never been there but my boys love it second to Charlottetown.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures of Vancouver's night scapes!!! What a fabulous city! Sounds like you had a great time there.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sails on Canada Place. I didn't know they changed colour, either.
ReplyDeleteAny place that offers pastel colored lights, coffee, and berry cheesecake, is a perfect place to visit in my book. Great pictures!
ReplyDeleteBeing an Oklahoma gal, I truly enjoy the glimpses of Canada you offer each week, both country and city.
