for the record...

We had a few moments of sunshine early yesterday morning.
One had to be up with the birds to see it!

And yes...
I have a new clothesline.
The weatherman suggests I continue to dry laundry indoors for now.

My dual-purpose swing is in full service mode once again.
As for the missing clothesline and pulleys from the past...
they will serve as spare parts if they are ever located!

If you have jobs that need doing around your place...
tell us about them in a blog post.
Then things happen!

  1. Hahaha! I can blog all I want about chores around the house, but my husband doesn't read my blog. Your clothesline/swing set is such a clever invention. Glad to see it's back in full operation. Enjoy your weekend!

  2. Hooray for blog-chore-lists! I'm glad you have a line again - there's nothing like it!
We had no sun yesterday. At least I don't have to water the garden!

  5. Hooray for blogposts that drop big hints! :) That's great that you now have your clothesline. I hope you have more sunny days in which to use it. We had exactly 6 hours of sunny clear skies this morning from 6 - 12 a.m. At least it's warmer today at 20C and I don't have to bundle up and drink tea to keep warm. Have a great weekend! Pamela

  8. Glad you got your jobs done :) I am still waiting for my sofa to be finished even though I have blogged about it a couple of times :( Sounds like your weather is much the same as ours here in the UK.

  9. Oh I looked at your weather report for the next several days and it looks cool and gray. My sympathies. If anyone can rise above you can!

We have not yet had our promised sun unless you call the thin sun of a few hours yesterday and today the good stuff. Now it is pouring in torrents again. Tomorrow looks promising, though.

That clothesline looks great! I'll give John a few days and then I'm going to be yapping about topsoil, compost, and mulch. ;>

  10. My all time record waiting for the other half to do a project he promised was two years. By then I was too weary to be happy.

  11. I don't know why but I find the sight of laundry flapping in the breeze just so cheerful. Love the dual purpose swing, how to keep a couple of generations happy at the same time!

  15. I, too, have a clothesline that stretches from one side of our deck to the other. When I'm done with it, it just rolls up into its little thingie.

Our DIY project is to add sun sails across the deck. Colorado's southern summer sun is too bright so when the sails go up, we'll have a nice cool place to enjoy the afternoon. This is quite a project and, according to my 71 year old hubby, the last one cause he's wearing out with all my honey-dos.
