hedged about with hydrangeas...

Finally.
The hydrangeas are in their glory!

Everything is a little late here this year...
so I have been waiting.

They make the best cut arrangements...
and will keep on 'keeping  on' right into the fall.

My favorite?
The limelight hydrangea.
It is not blooming as yet.
Soon!

Flowers can brighten any day.

  2. Wow! They add so much when blooming. I'm wondering how you get all the variety in color since the soil conditions determine color... Hmmm...

  5. Great foundation planting! Every morning it must be a treat to stand away from your house to enjoy the flower trim. Just lovely.

  6. I love the way you have planted a hedge of them. Mine are blooming too and I also have been loving them this year. Limelight has buds. :)

  7. What a lovely range of colours your Hydrangeas have. It is a very Cornish plant so most of the gardens here have at least one bush. Ours are flowering profusely now.

  8. Oh Judy, Hydrangeas are my absolute favorite. They don't do well here in the Phoenix heat. But every year, I buy a couple when they show up around Easter and do my best to figure out how to keep them alive. I always fail. But the next Spring, failure forgotten, I try again! What a beautiful border for your home!

My limelights started blooming last week.

  14. Wow...they are beautiful! Our biggest bush only had a few blooms this year. Not sure what happened, but I was very disappointed!

  21. Gorgeous!! I love my hydrangeas - they're probably the best flower investment I've ever made. They give me beautiful blooms from the first of July right until fall. I dried some as well but the blue ones turned a rather muddy brown colour. Not quite as pretty as I had hoped. Which ones do you dry?
