yesterday...today...tomorrow

The sun shone and we enjoyed the hottest day of 2012 so far.
And we had a carnival at our place.
It was Lucy's carnival...
(though I think she oblivious to all the plans her mommy made)

...in honour of her first birthday.
Which is tomorrow.

Today...
Jeremy (son) and Tim (son-in-law) are celebrating their birthdays.
They had their cake yesterday...
and will go to work today as usual.
But here's wishing them both a wonderful day...
from beginning to end.

Tomorrow...
It's Lucy's first birthday.
Where did that year go?

Milestones are meant to be celebrated.
They are markers on the journey of life...
a reason to pause and be thankful.

Happy Birthday to all those celebrating this week!

  1. Good Morning...I could almost hear the noise and see the action from my house. Yes it was the hottest day of the year and we enjoyed the quietness of sitting outside late in the evening, celebrating that summer is here and it looks like you made the best use of the day. I'm sure there must of been a water fight started somewhere.

  11. You all sure do know how to celebrate. I can't believe Lucy is one year old already. Happy Birthday to each one! I do like how you celebrate each person in your family, and always in fun style. I think the mountains in the background are the most beautiful backdrop!
