sweet things...

A simple and meaningful gift from a friend.

Sweet.

It was just a field of weeds next to the parking lot.
But I had my camera with me...

...and decided to take a picture or two.

The field of weeds...

...was actually quite beautiful!

“I am beginning to learn that it is the sweet
simple things of life which are the real ones after all.”
Laura Ingalls Wilder

My grandson usually has the biggest of smiles!

When I saw his passport picture...
it was me that smiled!

Is that not the sweetest passport photo?
I think he had a hard time keeping the smile off his face!

Wishing you a wonderful weekend...
filled with sweet things.
May you have many reasons to smile.

  4. Do they not allow smiles on passport photos? That little guy is the cutest with all those curls.

I'm impressed that you're finding beauty in a field of weeds...lovely they are, too.

The honey must have been a gift. Another sweet idea.

    1. Vee...no smiling for Canadian passport photos! And if a wee smirk creeps in, you must have a photo re-take. Are Americans allowed to be friendly for their passports?

  6. Honey is a very sweet gift, the clover looked so healthy and tall, and the very best photo of all is your darling grandson looking so serious for his passport photo! I see so much of your husband's face in his.

  12. Yes, we Americans can blast a big smile in our passport photo. No winking though.

  14. You made a field of weeds look like pages from a magazine. Pretty gifts like you received, can be a highlight of one's day.

As for the little guy, his serious look just made me smile.
