twice the fun...

Two special girls are celebrating a birthday today.

Well...we actually started the celebrations a few days ago...
with a family birthday party on the weekend.

These two little 'peas in a pod'
came as a package from heaven nine years ago.

Always together...
and almost always happy about it!

From tea parties...
to barn parties...

...to sharing a bedroom or a scooter...

...they make a great team.

Watching them together...
makes me think we should all have a twin!

It's better to have a partner than go it alone.
Share the work, share the wealth.
And if one falls down, the other helps.
 Ecclesiastes 4: 9-10
The Message

They each have their own trail to blaze...
but how wonderful to have a companion along the way!

Happy Birthday,
Emme and Spencer!

Wishing you many blessings today...
and in the year that lies ahead.

Lots of love,

  3. Happy birthday Emme & Spencer!

I love their beautiful rainbow cake!

It has been fun to watch them grow on your blog, Judy. They are indeed lucky to be twin sisters, and to always have a friend and playmate because of it.

  10. Cute girls and sweet pictures! I went to school with twins. I saw them this summer when my dad died for the first time in 10 years or so. They are both married, but still inseparable!

  11. Another Birthday...it seems just like yesterday when I heard that they were born.
I can tell that you have really enjoyed these girls whether it's outside at the farm or baking or sewing with them.
    Your cake looks fantastic...
Maybe you need to give some of us some lessons.

  12. What an extra special tribute to these beautiful twin girls. I think you are right when you say you think everyone should have a twin. Watching my young twin grandsons, I agree that they have an unique and fun bond of friendship. The rainbow cake is the perfect addition to the birthday celebration.
