a different nine eleven...

September eleventh is a date that strikes a chord with everyone since 2001, but for hubby it has always been a memorable day...it's his birthday.

Whew...just thinking about all those birthdays is enough to make one weary! I love this picture...not so sure he does, but I pulled it out of the archives to share on his 59th birthday. It was taken on a warm day many years ago...he took a wee break from the field work and was soon fast asleep with the dogs. His reading material (Butterfat) and choice of beverage (Dairymaid ice tea) seemed appropriate!

Birthdays are always a good excuse to celebrate...whatever the age! We're going out for lunch today...his choice. I'll tell you all about it tomorrow.

My mother-in-law shared her birthday with Pearl Harbor Day. A sad memory of that terrible day.
