February ~ short and sweet

Why did it seem like this month just came and went?
Could it be because it is 'a few days short'?

These beautiful birds have been hanging out in my backyard all month...

...often by the dozen.

Glad they chose to make themselves at home here.

The woodpecker returned this month as well...
along with many other birds.
Spring is in the air!

We hiked a few local trails...
and checked out the viewpoint on Chilliwack Mountain.

(Judy, Lovella & Marg)

Marg had her milestone birthday two weeks ago...
and we met up for a bite to eat and a walk on the Vedder River trail.

Marg and I first celebrated our birthdays together in junior high...
and here we are, all these many years later!

They say 'It takes a long time to grow an old friend'!
So thankful for our friendship through the ups and downs of life.

Valentine's Day.
The days of Valentine's tea parties are long gone...

...but treats were delivered to all the grands.

We are ending the month somewhere that is warmer than back home.

Where oranges and grapefruits hang on trees.

Where seagulls play on sandy shores.

I'll fill in the blanks once I'm back...safe...home again.

Spring is just around the corner.
Happy March to you all!
