the end of the journey...

There's always a sunset at the end of the journey...
isn't there?

On September 11, 2012 the life journey of my Uncle Neil ended...
as he took his last breathe in Largo, Florida.

He was one of my dad's brothers...
and we had the privilege of visiting my uncle and aunt at their home just a few months ago.
Who would have known it would be the last time we would meet?

We took a photo before we parted ways...

...and he waved as we drove down the street and out of sight.

I know we will  meet again one day...
and look forward to that grand reunion in glory.

Tomorrow we celebrate my dad's 90th birthday.
Once there were twelve siblings.
Now there are six.

We rejoice with those who rejoice.
We grieve with those who grieve.

My thoughts and prayers are with Aunt Fran...
cousins Ron and John and their families.

  16. Gracious gifts from our Heavenly Father, that is what your visit was. What a kind tribute and what a inspiring way to word it all, about the life of this loved man. The sunset was the perfect way to begin this post. Reunions are looking better every day.
