mighty to save

One of my favorite worship songs is Mighty to Save by Laura Storey. It's just a wonderful reminder that although there are many problems that we cannot fix...the God who moves mountains can! When all else is gone...all that is left is faith in God...and that is powerful.

Everyone needs compassion,
Love that's never failing,
Let mercy fall on me.

Everyone needs forgiveness,
The kindness of a Savior,
The hope of nations.

Savior...He can move the mountain,
My God is mighty to save,
He is mighty to save.
Forever...Author of salvation,
He rose and conquered the grave,
Jesus conquered the grave.

So take me as you find me,
All my fears and failures,
Fill my life again.

I give my life to follow
Everything that I believe in
Now I surrender.

Shine your light and let the whole world see,
We're singing for the glory of the risen King.

My Savior, He can move the mountain,
My God is mighty to save,
He is mighty to save.
Forever, Author of salvation,
He rose and conquered the grave,
Jesus conquered the grave

I've been singing it all week...and I'm hoping we sing it in church this morning.

Have a blessed Sunday...

  1. I must eyes misted over just reading the words...hope of much anxiety with the upcoming election...

  2. Judy, this is one of my favorite songs as well. The words are so powerful. . I think we sang it last night. .it's so hard for me to pin down one favorite worship song, since I love so many.
I want to be a living example of this song.

  3. Judy, I love this. I had not heard it before. It is so uplifting.

  4. This song is my church today Judy.
I will be taking that song with me over the next weeks. Add to your list, "TODAY". That has been my song since Sept.7. That's what keeps me going over the past months. And it has been sung twice, my first two weeks attending.

I took some similar pictures last night. Magnificent.

  5. Wow... I had not heard of this song before but we sang it in church last night... LOVED IT!

I'll be humming it all day!
(we also had a crew of people visiting from Central Heights Church, they were alittle rowdy when they were welcomed!!!!! but we'll forgive that!!!)

  6. Hello Judy, wow such a gorgeous header this time around. Did you take that photo, stunning!!!

I always have a great read when catching up on your most recent posts....loved them all, your adorable grandkids looked like they were having so much fun with those cookies and that heron, oh my, now if that isn't a picture.

I love what you said in this post, it blessed my heart and so true Judy. Thank you for sharing this with all of us especially in these days.
