the herald angels sing...

I have a new choir of angels in the garden this year...
a little taller and stronger than those that went before.
 No louder though!
The old ones were weary and weather worn.

They may be a poor representation of  the 'heavenly hosts'...
but they are a reminder of the angel choir that sang praises to the newborn King on that first Christmas.

Hark! The herald angels sing
Glory to the newborn King
Peace on earth and mercy mild
God and sinners reconciled
Joyful all ye nations rise
Join the triumph of the skies
With angelic host proclaim
Christ is born in Bethlehem
Hark! The herald angels sing
Glory to the newborn King.

I am reminded to focus on Christ...
the reason for the season.
Singing praises is always a good thing.

  8. Well, I also make three new angels this year, taller and of hardier wood then the last set. The tallest is to hold a star, but alas the star is in the house and at -30ish degree weather I'll wait until it warms up next week for him/her to get its star. Aren't they just so nice to sit outside in the garden. I guess sister think alike. Kate
