giving thanks...

It is Thanksgiving Day here in Canada...
a time to reflect on all we have been blessed with.
 A time to be thankful!

Though I may be troubled by some of the circumstances of life...
I choose to focus on those things for which I am incredibly grateful.
Thanksgiving is gratitude from the heart.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving
    and his courts with praise;
    give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
    his faithfulness continues through all generations.
Psalm 11:4-5 niv

We walked the trail along the nearby Vedder River this weekend...
as the sun was sinking in the western sky.
How could one not give thanks to the Creator when soaking in this beauty?

Then sings my soul...
my Savior God to Thee...
how great Thou art.

Today I am incredibly thankful...
for so many things.
For my husband...
our family and friends.
For health and strength.
For the beauty of nature surrounding me.
For the sun that rises above Mt. Cheam every morning.

And did I mention food?
We are gathering around the table today and there will not be a shortage of good things to eat.
It is not so for many around the world today.
I give thanks.

Happy Thanksgiving Day to all my Canadian friends.
And to the rest...
an 'attitude of gratitude' is a good thing any day of the year.
Have a wonderful day...
