celebrating their marriage...

Some weeks ago...
my nephew Jamison married Paulina at an intimate wedding ceremony in Ucluelet.

On Saturday night they hosted a reception for family and friends.

They came in their wedding finery.
I was hoping they would!

What a fun party it was!

 The sun was out.
The gardens were inviting.

The guests played Bocce...
young and old.
Last June my dad was hospitalized after being struck by a pick-up truck.
A broken hip called for hip replacement surgery.
Who knew that he would be walking without aid one year later...
and even playing Bocce at 90 years of age?

The fabulous meal was a breakfast buffet...
the couple's favorite meal.

It came complete with crepe bar...
and even a cereal bar...
featuring the favorite cereals of the guests.

I've never had a breakfast buffet in the evening before...
but I quite liked it!

Can you tell that the kids enjoyed themselves?

Maggie was quite thrilled to have her picture taken with the bride.
Lucy reluctantly got into the picture. :)

The kids left early.
The party carried on until all hours.
A good time was had by all!

Jamison and Paulina...
we wish you much happiness as you go through life together...
as husband and wife.

The Lord bless you and keep you;
 the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you;
 the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.
Numbers 6:24-26 NIV

  1. What a fun reception! I'm so glad the weather was perfect for it. I enjoy breakfast anytime of day so that would suit me just fine to have it in the evening. Your dad is a real trooper at 90. I hope you have more sunshine this week. Blessings, Pamela

    If your dad can play Bocce ball at 90, I expect to see you playing tennis.

  9. That is just so cool on so many levels...love that your dad is doing so well...look at him! Amazing. And the bride and groom are so cute and may they be very happy all their lives through. I remember your saying about the breakfast for their favorite meal...love that, too. And Lucy is so willingly captured for the photo...I mean, you could fool me. It must be like having one's photo taken with The Princess.
