when I walk through the valley....

Yea...though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For you are with me...
Your rod and your staff they comfort me.

Psalm 23:4

I was reminded of this verse many times in the past while!

It ran through my mind as I walked about the hills and vales of Death Valley National Park last week.

As you may know, we walked through the valley of the shadow of death in our family very recently...
and He walked it with us!

His rod and staff were my comfort.

    You should lead a woman's devotional!! Coming on to your blog this morning was wonderful. You have a gift for putting together the photos and wonderful poignant biblical quotes or insights.

    I have been so below the 'surface' working too long hours but so I haven't visited blogville of late. I just loved catching up with an old friend today....thanks for your photos and words

  3. He has carried me every moment of my life, and through some dark times. I am so glad you had Him in your life.

    What would we do if we didn't have Him?

  4. Such a barren place...so glad that you are going "through" and not remaining in the valley.

    Love the new profile picture.

    Trish is right, you could lead a women's devotional or write one.

    Did you figure out the scent yet? I'm going to have to tell you if you are still baffled. :>

  5. I've been to Death Valley too. "A voice crying in the wilderness..." should be illustrated by a photo from there. I did like the Devil's Salts and the Painted Desert area. It may be hot in summer but camping there in cold winter is a challenge too.
