Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son,
and shall call his name Immanuel.
Isaiah 7:14
Today marks the first Sunday of Advent...a time of preparation and expectation. Advent is meant to prepare us for a transformational celebration of Christ's birth...not a huge gift exchange. As we approach this special season...may we truly experience the Christ of Christmas.

What a beautiful post. Blessings to you and your family.

ReplyDeleteHappy first week of Advent, Judy. Do you light a candle to celebrate? I do. It is a most beautful time of the year.
ReplyDeleteI'm still waiting for my grandson --I guess he wants a December birthday!
We always celebrated Advent at home...I miss it! Hope you had a good weekend Ms.Judy. Hey...was that your front door, and was that a Costco wreath? I have a wreath very similar on my door...from Costco.
