Ready or not...winter has arrived!
At noon it began to snow lightly...
and by evening the ground was white.
It seemed appropriate that I was off to a Christmas Extravaganza last night...
where a good friend was doing a cooking demo...
of seasonal appetizers and treats.
It also seemed OK to turn on the Christmas lights...
and play Il Divo's Christmas Collection.
Bring on Christmas...I'm ready.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Pretty scene! Hope you have a blessed weekend!
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm so jealous! I wish we could have a white Christmas here in Georgia. The snow looks beautiful!:) So warm!

I had to run to the window, peer out into the dark and check after I read your post - but no snow here today, which is a good thing as I have to head up over the Malahat for work this morning. Keep that Christmas spirit!
ReplyDeleteGood for you!! Loved the pic....
ReplyDeleteWe've got the snow ---- and -20 temps. Driving is horrible and it's foggy today! Yup, winter is here and it's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!
ReplyDeleteYour house looks so pretty, I love the lights and snow already....wow!
ReplyDeleteThe snow was/is so beautiful! It does feel like Christmas now.
ReplyDeleteHow do you have your lights UP this early? That's always my problem, getting them on the eaves before I want to turn them on. Good for you!
ReplyDeleteI was hoping for snow, but alas, only rain fell. I'm glad Pondside won't have to drive in the snow over the Malahat but maybe it will start after she gets home tonight.
ReplyDeleteYour home is welcoming with the lights.
Oh my look at your front porch with the snow on the ground. Love it. Are you sending that down here this weekend. YIKES!
ReplyDeleteYes, let me tell you, I hear those Christmas bells ringing in her house this past week...I said,
ReplyDeleteIsn't the rule...DEC.1st? But then we both decided that we could also break rules.
Your place looks lovely.
How did you do those "notes"?
ReplyDeleteWe have a light covering of snow too! I was wishing I had my camera on my walk this morning ... snow on yellow leaves actually made me stop and look!
Oh I am ready too! I love Christmas!
ReplyDeleteIt's beginning to look a lot like Christmas here as well..the snow makes everything beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo of your house all lit up!
The snow is so pretty! I am ready for Christmas, too. Yesterday I bought poinsettias and this weekend I will start my Christmas baking.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, but I can't believe that you beat me with the snow. Guess that means just one thing...it's on its way!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful, cozy, and inviting looking home. I like how the tiny lights outline the home, and the snow adds extra loveliness. May the countdown begin.
ReplyDeleteSnow already?! Oh wow. Looks so pretty....
ReplyDeleteSome of the folks here have their Christmas lights blazing away amidst the fall leaves. The high winds tonight should blow Autumn colors away then heavy snow will commense late Saturday. I'll opt for total seasonal confusion by flying to San Diego for some beach time with the family there. Did the Beach Boys ever cuts Christmas album for just such a confusing time?
ReplyDeleteWe've a forecast for our first snow today as well - nothing so far but one can always hope!! It's so much prettier than rain.
ReplyDeleteThe board games looks fun too - wonder if Ch'town made the map??
Your house looks so pretty, Judy!
ReplyDeleteIt must have put you in the mood for Christmas decorating.
I've been doing a lot of cooking for Thanksgiving...it's too early for me to dream about Christmas until after turkey day!
:)
Christmas songs...hmmm I think I am ready too :)
